  • DAY 1: ANCHORAGE, AK

    Catch your flight today to Anchorage. Upon arrival, you will be greeted at the airport by a John Hall’s Alaska representative and transferred to your luxury accommodations for the night. The remainder of the day is open to exploring Fur Rendezvous festivities.  Fur “Rondy” is a long endearing festival started in the 1930’s which includes the World Championship Dog Sled Sprint Races in preparation for the Last Great Race, Iditarod.

  • DAY 2: MUSK OX FARM & MUSHER'S BANQUET

    Begin with a tour of the Palmer Musk Ox farm to witness these prehistoric animals and learn about Alaska’s ongoing domestication project. During your private cocktail reception, musher Mike Santos will conduct a question and answer session on preparing for the Iditarod race. Your evening concludes with the  annual Iditarod Musher’s Banquet. This is a great chance to meet the mushers!  Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Included.

  • DAY 3: ALYESKA ADVENTURE DAY

    Today you may choose to spend your day Alpine

    skiing (gear and lift ticket provided) or snow mobiling at the beautiful Alyeska Resort in Girdwood, Alaska. Those wishing to forego these adventure sports will have the option of enjoying the resort's spa.

    Today's Highlights: Guest choice of Skiing or Snowmobiling at the Alyeska Resort or Free Time in Seward to Explore.

  • DAY 4: IDITAROD CEREMONIAL START & TALKEETNA

    Attend the ceremonial start of the Iditarod in downtown Anchorage where you are free to walk among the teams and find your favorite musher! You have plenty of time to view the dog teams before the 10:00 am ceremonial start.  Later, journey to Talkeetna, your home for the next two evenings. In preparation for Northern Lights viewing, “Aurora Hunter” Todd Salat will teach your group how to best capture Northern Lights images on your camera.

  • DAY 5: IDITAROD OFFICIAL START & TALKEETNA

    It’s brunch at the historic Talkeetna Roadhouse before traveling to Willow to witness the official start of the Iditarod. Return to Talkeetna for free time before partaking in a delicious dinner at the Denali Brewing Company.

  • DAY 6: TALKEETNA & CHENA HOT SPRINGS

    This morning depart Talkeetna and head to Chena Hot Springs Resort. During your visit here are many activities to chose from. The most famous attraction is of course the hot springs which have been visited by native peoples for hundreds of years.

  • DAY 7: CHENA HOT SPRINGS RESORT

    Your schedule is your own today as you continue to explore everything there is to see and do at the Chena Hot Springs Resort. Go for a snow coach ride out to view the Aurora Borealis or play with the puppies at the Chena Hot Springs Kennel. Check out the Aurora Ice Museum and enjoy sipping on their specialty beverage, an “appletini”, made in an ice carved martini glass! Before retiring for the evening, enjoy a sunset snow coach tour complete with a champagne toast.

  • DAY 8: WORLD ICE ART CHAMPIONSHIPS

    Spend your morning at Chena Hot Springs before departing for lunch and your trip into Fairbanks. At sunset you will visit the World Ice Art Championships where intricate creations are whittled out of ice blocks!

  • DAY 9: DOG SLEDDING & REINDEER WALK

    Today spend some time at Trail Breaker Kennels enjoying the dogs and an exhilarating dog sled ride!  This afternoon you get the chance to walk with the reindeer. Reindeer will take you through a guided nature walk in the boreal forest. There you will learn about the natural history of the forest as well as the reindeer themselves. Enjoy the frolicking and leaping reindeer as they run free through the woods. This evening is open for optional Aurora viewing.

  • DAY 10: ARCTIC CIRCLE & IDITAROD CHECKPOINT

    Today we head to the Arctic Circle! You will travel via plane from Fairbanks to Bettles. You will be able to cross the Arctic Circle along the way! Then board small aircraft for an aerial flyover of the Iditarod trails and landing at an Iditarod race checkpoint. Watch the mushers as they arrive and ready their dog teams for their next push towards Nome. Due to the remote nature of this journey, you will be eating on board the motorcoach along the way. Return to Fairbanks for your farewell dinner and then Northern Lights viewing this evening.

  • DAY 11: FLY HOME (FAIRBANKS, AK)

    You may fly home at any time of day, but for those with later flights, enjoy touring the Fountainhead Antique Auto Museum’s collection of historic fashions and remarkable antique cars from the Victorian Age through the Art Deco era. Arrive at the Fairbanks International Airport for good-byes and flights home. Breakfast & Lunch Included.
