We have been on many city tours in America and some tours in Europe but when it came to our Alaska trip, we have searched for five years for our trip.  When we heard you in Mt. Dora, Fl this past winter, we went out, looked at each other and said, this is the one.  Well, we have not been disappointed at all.  It was everything that you told us it would be, and more!  (We became members of the 30% club at Denali).

Colleen Easley is the BEST.  She took care of all of us in the most professional manner I have ever experiences.  If there was any snafu,  she was on it at once and had it resolved before we could turn around!  We called her our "Mama Bear" because she took care of us like a mother bear looks after her cubs. Colleen was such a wealth of information.  She taught us all so that we felt like we "knew" the Canadian provinces, Alaska and  the stories that made the Gold Rush so interesting.  Though she warned us that some days on the bus would be long, she was able to break them up with stories, music, and CD's along the way that all pertained to exactly what we were passing by!  What a jewel you have in Colleen, or should I say, she is worth her weight in Gold!  When we take our next trip to Alaska, we hope that she will be our guide. On the ship, there was a poster board every day to help us decide just what to do and where to go.  I didn't see that for any other tours.  There too, thought we were scattered over the ship, Colleen was in contact with us and made sure that things were ok.

We weren't’t sure just what to expect, but this trip far exceeded our expectations!  So many "others" wanted our jackets!  I bet we sold many future tours by telling the John Hall story to folks who wanted to have a jacket like ours.  I hope they remember the address that we gave them! And we were also so very proud of the beautiful bus that carried us so safely and comfortably. Thank you for the MOST WONDERFUL experience.
We will be remembering and talking about it the rest of our life.

Thanks for a wonderful trip.  We enjoyed every minute of it - except the 6 am breakfasts!  You did a great job of providing wonderful weather!!!  It was a great group with which to travel and both guides were helpful in meeting our every needs.  We will recommend your company to one and all.

We had the most wonderful trip.  Words can't describe the beauty, and with Colleen at the helm, she kept everyone looking for more.  And then it would happen, time and time again.  She took care of everyone and made all of us feel at home.  This was the first time my husband didn't have to drive and he really enjoyed the trip more than ever.  Everything was planned so well, and we didn't have anything to do except enjoy ourselves.  We certainly will tell friends and relatives how great you people are.  John did a fabulous job on the cruise, even though nobody called him!!!  We will not forget "North to Alaska".

We heard about your tours from a neighbor who took one of your tours on 2009. After listening to your presentation in Orlando last fall we were interested, likes the scope of your tours and the in-depth experience of your firm but were a little concerned about the cost of the 22 day rockies/Alaska trip. After discussing the once-in-a-lifetime nature of this trip, we sign up. In anticipation for this trip we did a lot fo research online and looked forward to seeing everything. This tour far exceeded our expectations. the coach, accommodations, luggage handling and meals were all excelent. It was especially enjoyable having the side-trips included and in retrospect we believe this was an outstanding value for the incredible breadth of vacation experiences.

I must compliment your enitre staff that made the reservations process, preparationms and all of the steps throughout the tour most enjoyable. A very special praise goes to Colleen and Dale Easley. Colleen's knowledge and personal relationships with hoteliers, restaurant owners, welcome hosts and Susan Buthcer's family made this exceptional.

While this was to be a one time tour, we were so impressed that we are looking forward to doing it again in the next few years! Thank you for a most enjoyable and memorable tour!

We would like both of you and the entire John Hall family to know that we thoroughly enjoyed the Alaska Trip from July 11th through July 24th.  We were on the Klondike Tour and Colleen Easley was our Tour Manager.  She did a fantastic job of both driving and escorting our group.  She looked out for us and she was always there if anyone had questions.  In fact, the entire group of 23 travelers was most enjoyable.  We will always remember the good time we had in Alaska and the Yukon and we have been informing our friends that John Hall is the way to see Alaska.  Thanks again!

Just a note to let you know that we had an absolutely, positively, wonderfully, outstanding time on our trip to Alaska. The tour could not have been better organized and our tour guide, Colleen, was the greatest. We learned so much and left with a true love and feeling for Alaska. We are sincerely afraid, however, that your tour has put all future tours that we might take in jeopardy, as we feel sure they will never compare. So again, with much gratefulness, we thank you for the time of our lives...

I can't say enough about this tour. It was magnificent. You had every day packed with adventure and beautiful sights. I learned so much about our 49th state. I was amazed at everything that we did. I have never been on a tour before and John Hall's Alaska made me what to go on more tours! I have lots of people who are envious of me and want to take this tour. John Jr. was great on the ship and our land guides were amazing. All were so full of history and knowledge of Alaska. They made the trip so enjoyable. The best part was having our tour guide on the ship too. People were quite impressed. I want to go back to Alaska some day and you can definitely count on me using John Hall's Alaska for my tour.

Fred and I want to thank you for the experience of a lifetime- our 15 Day Grand Slam vacation to Alaska was everything you said it would be and MORE! Ashley was fun and very helpful on the ship. John Gailey (our jr. John Carey) was fun, knowledgeable and boy could he drive that coach- even when backing down a dirt road for us to get a closer look at a moose and her two calves! Even the wildlife cooperated- we saw 15 grizzlies, 200 caribou moms and their calves + several loner males with their antlers in velvet, a coyote chasing a snow hare, a trumpeter swan, bald and golden eagles, violet green swallows, numerous ducks, yellow warblers, moose, humpback whales breaching, orcas 30ft away, puffins, and roughly 300 Steller sea lions next to the boat in Prince William Sound. I'm sure there are others that I have forgotten for the moment!

The wedding that you arranged at McKinley Princess Lodge for our friends was perfect! They invited all of our traveling companions who showed up! How special that was. The scenery was outstanding. The accommodations were great and all we had to do was show up! Your company took care of the rest! I have already recommended you to several folks and will continue to do so with the knowledge that they will be as happy as we were that you handled our vacation!

Thank you for making this a great travel experience for me. I definitely recommend your tours to anyone visiting Alaska.

It was our pleasure to do the 14 day Denali Explorer beginning August 25th. I cannot begin to state the satisfaction we received by traveling with John Hall. You are first class in every way. Our Tour Manager, Caryn McElroy, did an outstanding job of showing us the sights and beauty of Alaska. Her attention to detail, knowledge of Alaskan history and concern for the travelers went beyond outstanding. She is a great asset to your company. And then, we hit the seas with John Hall III. He made sure our onboard needs were met and did an outstanding job and we were sad to have to say our good byes at the farewell party. To everyone at John Hall's Alaska, our most sincere thanks for organizing our travels and showing us Alaska and all it has to offer. We will be back!

It is with heartfelt thanks that we wish to express our delight in having spent what we consider to be a most "memorable" vacation. The professionalism (yet feel of family) of everyone involved with our tour to an "awesome" state proved that we were correct in our choice of tour companies to book with. Your driver/guide on the land portion of our trip was a walking encyclopedia of knowledge on Alaska, its people and its history. This coupled with her personality, driving skills and dedication to those of us in her care (as well as to her employer) are qualities you, as her employer, can be proud of. The concierge on the cruise portion of the trip was also a joy to travel with. Her dedication to ensuring that we received the very best service speaks well of your company and its hiring practices. As the only Canadians on this tour, we have made some very good American friends because we chose to attend your presentation and then book with John Hall's Alaska. Because of our experience we will not hesitate to recommend your company to anyone planning such a holiday.

I want to write and tell you that your tour was not what you claimed it was- it was MUCH BETTER! I listened to your presentation in The Villages, FL last January and was intrigued by your Alaskan tours. i had never taken an all-inclusive tour like the ones you presented that day. I was hesitant at first, but decided to "just do it" as the saying goes. Deep in my heart I still knew that I could plan/organize/conduct a tour like this (for my wife and I) better and cheaper than the tour that you described. I have since come to grips with reality and confess that I COULD NOT. Simply stated, your tour was the BEST tour/vacation I have been on. The vacation was all that you presented plus more! Our tour guide, John Gailey, was fantastic. Your description of your "hand selected tour guides" who not only were familiar with Alaska, but also live there, proved to be one of the highlights of this tour. I cannot say enough about John's background, knowledge and friendliness throughout the tour. He made the trip "come alive" for our entire group. There was not one question asked that he could not answer- and answer accurately- throughout the entire tour/cruise. His professionalism and dedication to making the John Hall's ALaskan experience complete is to be recognized and commended. I would like to personally thank him for not only a job well done, but also one for exceeding my expectations. Thank you for convincing me to spend the money to take a truly First Class tour of Alaska. You should be proud of John Halls Alaska because it is truly a top notch business. Please let me know when you will be returning to The Villages. I would highly recommend your Alaska Tour to anyone and who knows, I may just take another!

We just completed Tour 110, your Cordova/Kennicott/Arctic Circle tour in August. We must say it was the trip of a lifetime, mainly due to John Gailey's expert leadership. He was an outstanding tour director/bus driver. John truly took care of all of our needs. His knowledge of the area and his timing were unsurpassed. He flipped on the video or played music at the most appropriate times to prepare us for what we were going to experience next. Safety was John's number one concern. He kept the motorcoach in immaculate condition. He washed it every night so it was clean inside and out. The bathroom never had an odor and we were stocked with hot and cold beverages at all times. John was happy to download our memory cards and transfer them to CDs. He couldn't do enough to fulfill our every need and he was most personable.

The trip was choreographed perfectly. We learned so much about Alaska from the crossing of Prince William Sound until we returned to ANchorage. We loved the wildlife in the sound and on land, the magnificent scenery, the native people, the glaciers, icebergs, the Arctic Circle as well as the pipeline and the spectacular Mt. McKinley. Our trips on the small planes were so enjoyable. We feel as if we experienced the "real Alaska", especially in McCarthy, Kennicott and Coldfoot. John made it so interesting and educational; every day was filled with adventure.

We returned home with a great deal of knowledge and very special memories that we will treasure forever. Everything was planned perfectly. Our jackets and red duffle bags were most useful. We want to thank you for a very beautiful trop from the time we were met at the airport until John dropped us back at the Millennium Hotel. Our accommodations were wonderful for the most part as well as the food. We are grateful to you, your staff and especially your son who answered so many of our questions before our trip. Our greatest thanks goes to John Gailey who continued educating us about Alaska even when tragedy struck his family. He is one tough Alaskan.

If you plan to come to The Villages, FL again and need someone to give testimony about our experience, we would be more that happy to volunteer is we are free. We definitely talk to our friends and family about our excellent trip with John Hall's Alaska!

We had a WONDERFUL tine on our Alaskan vacation. John was a wonderful tour manager on land- so full of energy and knowledge and very funny. We really enjoyed him. Ashley was great on the cruise, as she had to do some rescheduling for us due to cancellations with fishing trips. It was the trip of a lifetime.

Did Don enjoy his fishing trip in Cooper Landing? Well, after the two nights in the B&B and his fishing trip, we could have gone home because we had had so much fun and seen so much already. The couple at the Upper Kenai River Inn are Texans also and we had so much fun with them. We already have plans to return next summer for more fishing and to spend time with them. In addition to the fishing, they took us to bear watch and we have some great pictures. They recommended some neat places to eat and told us all about the area.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart because you are the ones that made his 50th birthday present so special! The B&B was wonderful and he will fish again with this company. Thank you for setting all of this up. John Hall's Alaska and all of the people involved made our 25th wedding anniversary a very special event for us. Memories that will last a lifetime!

Hardly a day goes by that we don't brag about our trip to anyone who will listen. And there are times we can't find the right words to describe the wonders we saw. We were a group of 25 who bonded very quickly under Colleen's care. She kept us advised of the schedule and alerted us to scenery for pictures. Her intimate knowledge of Alaska and dedication to make sure we had a great "Alaskan Experience" will always be remembered. Lunch with David Monson and his daughters at their place was a huge highlight. Ashley took over at the dock and made the cruise portion memorable as well. Not having been on a cruise before we didn't know what to expect, so we appreciated Ashley's insight and advice.

We just got back from our Fall Colors tour last Thursday and what a great trip we had. We surely were blessed on this tour. The sun shined on us almost all of the time. We saw a tremendous glacier show and even saw Mt. McKinley totally out in the open 3 days in a row! We also got to see all of the high peaks along our route, with fall colors being great in Alaska and the Yukon Territory, but not yet in bloom in the Canadian Rockies. It was still really pretty there, with all the great mountains and the deep blue lakes. As for animals, it took us only 20 minutes into our land tour to see our first Bull Moose and we saw all the large species included a wolf. This is a tour I highly recommend and I hope everyone who takes it will be as blessed as we were.

Ashley was such a big help on the ship. She was a dear. She helped us out in many situations. We were very blessed with great weather. Thanks John Hall's Alaska for that!

We picked the tour off of the internet and had no idea what we were headed for. Everything was done so well from airport pick ups and departures to the food, the bus, luggage, accommodations. WOW! Our trip to Denali was awesome and Martin was a wonderful tour guide. We are already talking about our next tour with John Hall's Alaska. We proudly wear our jackets and tell everyone we meet about it. We had such a great group of people to travel with. It made that much more special. Thanks again for the trip of a lifetime! My husband and I would like to thank all of your "family" for a terrific vacation. It was such a pleasure working with all the personnel on the phones answering all of our questions. Everyone I talked to was most patient and reassuring. It all came together as any well planned, well organized and well executed tour with a personal touch that could not be equaled by any other.

Our bus driver. Caryn McElroy, was full of information and went out of her way to accommodate any of the wishes of all in the tour. John Hall Jr. was also the representative of your company. Keeping in the tradition if "whatever it takes" for the greatest Alaska Experience possible. He certainly lived up to that motto, arranging group meetings, functions, and dinners including special celebrations right down to the final bus trip to Seattle, for all going that way home.
What had started for us as a very hesitant and apprehensive trip, turned out to be the best possible due to all involved. John Sr's seminar here in Punta Gorda

Colleen and her husband Dale went over the top to assure us that we got more than a trip, but a holiday we would remember forever. We cannot express our appreciation enough for a job well done. It did not matter what happened, they were always on top of any situation. Even after waiting on the highway due to a rock slide, for hours they kept us on track with happy moments. So thanks to you, John Hall, and thanks for keeping such competent people in your great organization where you need them, so that we can enjoy "Alaska" like no other tour company could do.

"Hello to everyone at John Hall's Alaska.  Although it has been three months since we got back, there is hardly a day that goes by without some discussion with somebody about our tour or looking at or showing our photos.  We were on the Cordova, Kennecott & Arctic Circle tour, which was termed the "Reunion Tour."  We were not from that reunion group, but it was our second tour with John Hall's Alaska.  You went above and beyond to make us experience the "Real Alaska."  It is very difficult to explain to people what we saw, did and experienced.  Many thanks to Jenny and Miranda in the office for their help before the tour.  Thanks to John Jr. for greeting us on our arrival in Anchorage and bussing the group from the hotel to downtown and back to the hotel.  And a special thank you to John Gailey, our tour manager on both tours.  With his knowledge of Alaska, experiences, help and concern for everyone, it made the tour an experience that we will never forget.  He is the best. We recommend John Hall's Alaska to everyone that we talk to.  For all that and anything not mentioned here, thanks again for a fantastic tour and experience."

Thank you.  Thank YOU. Here's a few photos of my son and I.  (See Photos Here). I will go to Alaska again and again and again.  My favorite place?  Cordova.  I loved Cordova.  Everything about it.  Everything and everyone. John G. was our guide and driver.  Very knowledgeable and excellent.  He even took us to his home and his wife greeted us.  She's wonderful! My son, Jason actually went INTO the Arctic Ocean with another man on our tour.  Jason went UNDER the water.  John G. our guide/driver was at the water's edge handing Jason the towel and smiling the whole time.  Gosh, we had fun. Of course, THAT photo is attached of me and Jason after his dunking in the cold, invigorating water.  I want to live in Alaska in the summer time. In Cordova.  Oh my goodness.  I am unable to retire, but what has happened is my joy and thoughts are of this marvelous vacation. Little did I know that my Mom was in the hospital while I was in Denali National Park and when I arrived home to Florida, I received word to get to New York, my Mom was dieing.  So, less than a few hours home, off on another plane.  I brought my rocks to her bed, told her about Alaska and I think she heard me.  She was my rock and my joined at the hip buddy.  We used to travel on escorted tours for years.  Now my son, Jason is at my side and having fun with me.  I love the generations and how we all travel such beautiful roads.  Because of you, John Hall's Alaska and all staff you win the prize for excellent customer service, knowledge, caring, tender hearts and joy.  Thank you.  Thank YOU all of YOU! Been home from the Alaska Adventure trip for two weeks already and we're still talking about it with family, friends, neighbors.....anyone who will listen.
It was a wonderful trip that exceeded our expectations....the orcas, humpbacks, belugas, sea otters, etc., loved the flying to McCarthy, Ma Johnson's and those amazing gourmet meals while there, the many glaciers from so many points of view....river side, on top of, under one in a cave, from the air and from the sea, the drive up to Coldfoot with Barbara (she'd be a good tour guide for John Hall's tours), the trip to Anaktuvuk Pass and flying over the Brooks Range, a super bus driver/guide into the heart of Denali....and it went on and on!
Traveling with the 2005 reunion group was so much fun and we quickly adopted the rest of the group into one big happy family.  John Gailey did his usual remarkable tour guiding while getting us from point A to B to C, etc.  We only repeated one day from the 2005 trip and it was equally enjoyable this year, as it was the first time, sharing it with our new friends.  We were sorry to see the Rabbs leave our group and Marilyn's illness was upsetting to all concerned.  Our compliments to John Gailey and everyone who helped them during their difficulties.
We've had more fun with those jackets....people who've traveled with you previously recognize them immediately and others who are interested are told to go to kissalaska.com to get a catalog.   Everyone wants to know where we got them....we just tell them they only cost $6,000 and this absolutely, fantastic 3-week Alaska tour comes with it.
So, keep up the good work and maybe we'll see you in 2011 for the fall bus trip back down from Alaska. to Seattle. Cheers!"

Better yet was your staff. John was so personable when he met us at the airport. He took care of everything that first day. But the people who delivered for me and the others on the tour were Art and Catherine. Art cares deeply about his state and he wears it on his sleeve. Not just to see "the mountain" from the congestion in and near Denali Village, but actually from the wonder of Wonder Lake and from Reflection Pond. No surprise that when I attended the presentation by John Hall Sr. in September of 2007 and subsequently read the 2008 catalog, I found exactly what I was looking for. With this tour I crossed the Arctic Circle, I put my hand in the Arctic Ocean, I saw Mt. McKinley in the clear sunlight of a bright blue sky for two days in a row. I have been to Prudhoe Bay, and Anaktuvuk [Pass], and I've stayed two night in Kantishna. I took my first flights in small planes piloted by Alaskan Bush Pilots. I even slept in Coldfoot. As I said to others who were traveling on this tour: I know a lot of people who have been to Alaska, but I don't know anyone who has done this. For all of that and so much more that I cannot name here, i want to thank you for putting together a fantastic tour program and a wonderful "once in a lifetime" experience. Karen and John Chapman:

Everything was great and we had a good time.  However, we told everyone we met that it was not as good as our trip to Alaska. Many of the folks we met have been on the Alaska cruise and while we agree that was good we told them about John Hall's Alaska and that the cruise could not compare to your land trip. That is an honest evaluation and we had already told all our friends that it was the best trip we had ever taken.  It was worth every penny of the price and all the arrangements for travel, overnight locations, food stops and site tours were all wonderful.  I do not think we will ever be able to match the experience you provided.

Thanks again for all you have done.  I hope 2009 is your best year yet.
