In 1955, John Hall Sr. traveled the Alaska Highway for the first time delivering eggs for Piggly Wiggly.
In 1982, Anderson House Tours was born with a fleet of two coachs and John Hall Sr. driving with the help of a few friends.
In 1984, John Sr. began running tours into the interior of Alaska and all over the United States. His fleet would grow to 13 coachs.
In 2000, John Hall Sr. decided to focus his attention on one great destination and pledged to tour it in a way that no one had toured it before. He chose Alaska as his first love and since then has built a company based on presenting guests with one-of-a-kind Alaskan experiences paired with superior service and luxury, Alaskan style.
In 2001, Anderson House Tours became John Hall's Alaska following the sale of The Anderson House Hotel in Wabasha, Minnesota! We specialize in small group, hands-on Alaska experiences.


From St. Paul/Minneapolis:
Take US 61 for 75 miles until you arrive into Lake City. The lodge will be on the north side of town on your right hand side.

From La Crosse, WI:
Take Hwy 61 North towards Winona for 65 miles. Lodge is located in Lake City off of Hwy 61 on the north side of town.The lodge will be on your left hand side.

From Rochester, MN:
Take Hwy 63 North for 34 miles. In Lake City, take a left on Hwy 61 and go 1.5 miles. You will see the lodge off of Hwy 61 on your left hand side.
